In my travels across the web few things frustrate me more than a website that is so simple, so elegant and such a waste of actual talent. http://www.thebigwordproject.com/ is one of those sites. Here is the premise; two grad students make a website populated with every word in the English language. Then they sell the words at $1 per letter. And what do you get for that $1? You get a link, to anywhere. That's it, nothing else to it, not actual value, and no promise to market or SEO the site to increase your link count. You hand them money and they laugh and take said money!
And do you know what the worst part is? No it's not the drug induced graduate students that built it. It's the 4952 words that they have actual sold to date. That's right at an average of 5 letters per word this party joke turned website has made these two guys about $25,000 (minus 2% to paypal of course).
